4Louis Sweet Dreams Keepsake Boxes

Having been introduced to the 4Louis Memory Boxes we immediately asked to be provided with some and on 15th of December we took delivery of  10 blue boxes and 10 pink boxes from Kirsty McGurrell and her mum Tracy. They so kindly provide these to hospitals free of charge for which we are all so grateful.

If you would like to make a donation to help them keep going with this fabulous service please go onto their website http://www.4louis.co.uk/

Linda Brewer

UPDATE - Linda completed this humoungous task and raised £1,330.01 via Just Giving - thank you so much Linda x

....... will be attempting a new Transatlantic Rowing World record and will raise money for York Special Care Baby Unit Support Group!

'I am rowing across the mid-atlantic on the 6th December from La Gomera, Canary Islands to Antigua. The distance is 3000 miles and is expected to take us between 35 - 40days. I will be in a 12 man boat which has 6 rowing positions.  This means that we can always have 6 on the oars at any point. The schedule is basically simple 6 of us will row 2hrs while the other 6 sleep 2hrs, and this is repeated until we get to the finish. We have to take all the supplies we will need, food, water (in the form of a water maker), safety equipment, etc. the boat will be our home for the duration - we have to sleep, eat and row all together in a very small space. '

We are actually entering a race, and our goal is to set the fastest ever crossing and in the process set a world record and also win the race.

For anyone wishing to sponsor Linda please click here for the link to her Just Giving page.

Diving 3 Lakes

Divers took on an exciting and brave charity challenge – diving to the bottom of the deepest lakes in England, Scotland and Wales in the space of just 24 hours.

Lee Feetenby, together with Joni Garnett, and Barry Grier completed their task by tackling Loch Coire An Lochan in the Cairngorms, Red Tarn in the Lake District and Snowdonia's Ffynnon Lloer with just over two hours to spare, setting a new record for the mission at the time raising nearly £3,200 in the process.

Lee's daughter Laila weighed only 1lb 13oz when she was came into the world two years ago after being born 15 weeks prematurely.
